Job Summary: As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring that the software meets project specifications and client expectations. You will work closely with developers and the test team to document and report test results and defects in a clear, concise manner. This is a fully on-site job based in Kuala Lumpur. Key Responsibilities: Test Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test cases and test reports, ensuring that they accurately reflect the project’s testing requirements. Test Case Execution: Execute test cases as per defined test plans and document the results of each test, identifying any defects or issues encountered during execution. Defect Reporting: Report defects and issues found during testing, including detailed steps to reproduce the defect, and ensure clear communication with the development team for resolution. Test Data Preparation: Prepare, manage, and maintain test data that aligns with test cases and accurately represents real-world scenarios. Test Result Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive test result documentation to ensure transparency and easy reference during future project phases. Collaboration: Work closely with the test team, developers, and project managers to ensure all testing aligns with project requirements and timelines. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: 1+ years of experience in software testing, ideally within telecommunications or a similar industry. Skills: Strong understanding of software testing processes and methodologies. Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Experience with both manual and automated testing. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to report defects clearly. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Certifications: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
