Directs and supervises frontend activities including:monitoring customer traffic and service level, coordinates and implements frontend and service programs, ensures cleanliness, safetyand appearance of Front Endphysical area, and monitors inventoriesand ordering Front End supplies and merchandise. Ensure frontend is operational and that it projects a positiveimage.
Handles and is accountable for cash flow and controls including:safe transactions, issues and pick-ups, cash register tills, approvingchecks, rain checks and refunds, and monitoring checker money handling procedures. Handlesscan systememergency procedures, UPC codes not on file, hard to scan UPC codes, scan pricing errors and system failures and otheremergencies.
Assistswith the interviewing and hiring of front end and courtesy clerks. Trains front end management, front end and courtesyclerks and monitorstheircompliance. Supervises employees assigned, makes recommendations foremployment statuschanges anddiscipline to Store Director.
Responsible forachievement of budget goals forlabor, cash variation, check expense and supplies.
Responsible forcost and quality control and maintaininga constant awareness of customer and employee safety.
Enforces dress and grooming standards forall employees.
Responsible for compliance tocompany policies, proceduresand applications inthe Front End.
Responsible for performingall job duties and responsibilities safely, accurately and with honesty and integrity.
Other necessary and requiredduties as directed or required.
