We’re seeking a Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team in our Nurse Residencies/Nursing Orientation Department. As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will be an essential member of our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our Nurse Residents. Your primary responsibilities will include mentoring new graduate nurses, ensuring their placement into various departments, and collaborating with unit leaders and nurse managers of the residency department to fulfill departmental requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, Master’s preferred.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience or related experience in health

care, required.

  • 1-year previous management or leadership experience preferred.

If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

  • Consults with People and Culture to recruit and interview nurse residency candidates.
  • Coordinates all nurse residency programming. Partners with nursing leaders to determine residency placements. Collaborates and communicates to nurse managers and other key leaders regarding residency programs.
  • Hires and coordinates all nurse resident components.
  • Facilitates collaboration among nurse residents, unit preceptors, unit leaders, and clinical nurse educators by aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and promise.
