Description JOB SUMMARY (Full-Time): Interlachen Country Club is seeking a professional and passionate Assistant Pastry Chef & Banquet Assistant to deliver an exceptional quality product for the members of the Club. The Asst. Pastry Chef prepares desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, Danish etc. for a la carte, banquet and other member needs. Inspects quality portioning and garnishing of all items prepared. Develops and researches recipes as needed by Executive Pastry Chef. WORK PERFORMED: Pastry/Banquet Duties 1. Sets up and maintains pastry station in a clean and sanitized condition. 2. Prepares desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, Danish, and other baked goods for à la carte and banquet service. 3. Measures and mixes ingredients according to standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality. 4. Assists with dessert plating, finishing, garnishing, and presentation for service and events. 5. Maintains proper labeling, dating, rotation, and storage of all pastry products. 6. Assists with dessert station set-up for club events and special functions 7. Assist with banquet operations and other duties as assigned by culinary team. 8. Supports recipe updates, research, and development as directed by the Chef or Executive Pastry Chef. Requirements PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. *May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 2. *Requires occasional bending, lifting, stretching. 3. *Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
