Description Job Summary: Prepares desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, danish etc. for a la carte, banquet and other member needs. Inspects quality portioning and garnishing of all items prepared. Develops and researches recipes as needed by Executive Pastry Chef. WORK PERFORMED: 1. *Sets up and maintains stock in pastry station. Keep desserts prepared on daily basis. Rotates and organizes desserts and stock in walk-in and dessert box. 2. Assists with daily production. 3. Helps and assists with club events and the set-up of dessert station. 4. *Updates recipe file on all new desserts and plate presentations. 5. *Researches new items ongoing. 6. *Log usage and production for all holiday and special events. 7. *Maintains quality and cost control. 8. Assists the Executive Pastry Chef with other assigned tasks. Requirements PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. *May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 2. *Requires occasional bending, lifting, stretching. 3. *Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. REPORTS TO: Executive Pastry Chef THIS JOB DESCRIPTION MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE AND EMPLOYEES ARE EXPECTED TO PERFORM ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED AND DIRECTED BY MANAGEMENT.
