Description

Job purpose As a Data Analytics Contractor, you will assist audit teams by leveraging data analytics to provide insights and support audit engagements across various industry sectors, especially the financial services and telecommunications. Your client responsibilities Data Analytics Working in a team, you will: Collaborate with the audit team to extract, transform, and load (ETL) client data for audit purposes. Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing processes. Use SQL and other data analytics tools to analyse client datasets and generate insights that meet audit requirements. Develop queries and scripts to automate data extraction and reporting. Assist in creating dashboards or visualizations to present findings clearly to stakeholders. Your people responsibilities Positive attitude and demonstrate willingness to learn. Work constructively with team. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science/Analytics, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting with strong IT Interest, or related field. Expected CGPA of a Second Class Upper and above. 3+ years of experience in data analytics, and audit support Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis is a requirement A relevant certificate in Data / Business Analytics will be an added advantage. An associate of ISACA/ICAG/ ACCA or a high motivation and drive to pursue professional qualification and career in IT Audit/data analytics/accounting/finance will be an added advantage. High motivation to learn and apply data analytics in audit contexts Skills Technical Skills SQL Expertise: Ability to write complex queries, joins, aggregations, and optimize performance. Data Analysis: Proficiency in analysing large datasets and identifying patterns. Intermediate to Advance skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) Advanced Excel skills including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and macros. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse complex problems and identify appropriate solutions. Attention to Detail: Precision in analysing data and identifying potential risks. Problem Resolution: Capability to resolve issues effectively and pursue objectives to completion. Communication Skills Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and concisely. Team Collaboration: Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to collective problem-solving. Adaptability and Learning Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technology and work environments. Learning Agility: Willingness and capability to learn new skills quickly and efficiently.
