We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join our Audit & Assurance Business Unit as a Manager under the Assurance Service offering. This position will be based in our Nairobi office in Kenya. Job Description Main purpose of the job The holder of this position will ensure that assignments are carried out to the highest standards in order to provide outstanding value to clients and the Firm; develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters; and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service. What you will do Work closely with Assurance teams across East Africa to conduct client advisory services including technical accounting support, reporting, audit support, and other reporting assurance consulting projects; Develop good understanding of the clients' business environment and applying leading methodologies to analyze and solve their most complex issues; Support the practice’s business development efforts including opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal development/presentation to meet set revenue targets; Take up the lead role in developing service offerings for our clients driven by regulatory and market trends; Manage day to day client communication and building value adding client relationships; Contribute to the practice’s growth and eminence through conducting Deloitte Academy client events, thought leadership on business issues pertinent to the key clients; Participate in the development and maintenance of productive relationships with clients while striving to actively stay informed of market trends, performance drivers and emerging technical and industry developments; and Contribute to the practice’s team development and management through on-the-job training and upskilling the less experienced team members. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or any other relevant field from a recognised institution. Master’s degree is an added advantage. Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA). At least six (6) years’ post-qualification experience with significant accounting experience; with at least 1 year experience in middle level management. Have at least three (3) years’ experience in a professional services firm client facing role. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness. Excellent client facing, relationship building and business development skills. An ability to analyse information, identify issues and prioritise them. Ability and willingness to undertake business travel regionally as required. Aptitude for guiding teams in client assignments and driving deliverables that meet Deloitte quality standards.
