About the Opportunity The Assurance Reporting Analyst plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the Service Assurance and Workplace functions. Reporting to the Head of Service Assurance and Workplace, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality operational reporting, strategic dashboards, and actionable insights that support performance tracking, continuous improvement, and financial forecasting. Working closely with senior leaders, Technology Finance, and Vendor Management, the Assurance Reporting Analyst develops tools and reporting frameworks that enhance service delivery, drive efficiency, and inform key business decisions. The role also contributes to business continuity planning and asset lifecycle management through strong data governance practices, ensuring VicRoads remains resilient and future-ready. About you You’re a skilled data and reporting professional with a strong background in analytics, business intelligence, and stakeholder engagement. You bring hands-on expertise in tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL, and thrive in environments that value data-driven decision-making, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You’ll thrive in this role if you: Hold a tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Power BI or Tableau, and SQL for data querying Have a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices Can confidently develop dashboards and performance reports tailored for senior stakeholders Communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences Enjoy working cross-functionally with teams such as finance, vendor management, and technology leadership Desirable: Hold certifications in analytics or BI tools, such as: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) Tableau Desktop Specialist Google Data Analytics Certificate Have experience with forecasting and financial modelling tools (desirable) Are familiar with IT service management frameworks like ITIL Understand cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and their reporting capabilities Have supported business continuity planning or risk management initiatives Understand software and hardware lifecycle management Our culture Innovation powers progress, but it doesn’t come without support. The joint venture is a 40-year partnership where the Government retains ownership of VicRoads, and continues to control regulation, policy, data, and privacy provisions for VicRoads Registration and Licensing. The Government sets pricing and collects the revenue for essential registration and licensing fees, whilst also maintaining its roads and safety responsibilities.
