Description

As an Assurance Senior Manager, you’ll take the lead on client engagements across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, and software. You’ll manage complex audits, advise clients on risk and compliance, and guide a talented assurance team toward excellence—all while supporting the firm’s leadership on key strategic initiatives. Located in Torrance, CA. Full time, Hybrid flexibility. $180,000- $260,000/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead assurance engagements from planning through delivery, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Supervise and coach team members, providing ongoing feedback and career development.
  • Collaborate with leadership on audit planning, risk assessment, and client communications.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues using strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and clients.
  • Take ownership of client billing, engagement profitability, and relationship management.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives such as recruiting, training, and process improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging regulations, industry trends, and audit best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 8+ years of public accounting experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and audit standards.
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and leading teams.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and ProSystems (a plus).
  • Strong communication and executive presence with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solver with a strategic mindset.
  • Comfortable traveling to client locations as needed.
