Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting into the Head of Assurance, the successful candidate will collaborate with the wider business teams to ensure Sportsbet implements and manages effective controls to meet its obligations and mitigate operational risks. You will ensure Sportsbet adheres to relevant compliance obligations and industry best practices as well as mitigate key operational risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to raise awareness of the effectiveness of controls across the wider business.
  • Work closely with Line 1 risk professionals across the business to assess and assure that key controls across the business are operating in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular assurance reviews across key risk and compliance areas, proactively sharing insights and learnings with relevant stakeholders through Archer.
  • Oversee the implementation of your recommended control remediation activity, supporting the business in providing the evidence to address or risk accept issues identified.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of Line 2 assurance activities from across the business and provide insightful controls advice to team members, enabling them to make confident decisions and take proactive steps to mitigate risk.
