The Assistant AD for Internal Operations and Athletic Marketing manages daily athletics logistics, overseeing facilities, scheduling, ticketing, event management, and staff supervision (often students), while also assisting with budgeting, risk management, and serving as a liaison between coaches, university departments, and external partners, focusing on operational efficiency and student-athlete support.  Key Responsibilities: * Facilities & Events: * Scheduling all athletic venues for teams, intramurals, external rentals, and events. * Communicating daily upkeep, maintenance, and capital projects for facilities. * Coordinating game-day logistics (security, setup, staff, emergency plans). * Leadership & Staff: * Hiring, training, and supervising staff (professional, interns, student workers). * Providing sport oversight and support for coaches and student-athletes. * Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and risk management plans. * Strategic Support: * Assisting the Athletic Director with strategic planning, special projects, and achieving departmental goals.  * Serving as a de facto CFO for Athletic budgets and supervision. * Assisting with sponsorship outreach and communication. Essential Skills: * Strong leadership, organization, and communication. * Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance. * Budget management and financial acumen. * Risk assessment and mitigation.  This role is crucial for ensuring smooth day-to-day functions and adherence to regulations, allowing the athletic department to focus on competitive success and student development.   Full-time, 12-month position.
