With expertise in space-based detection, tracking, identification, and monitoring, Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across all regimes, enabling end-users to gain actionable intelligence on a single platform. At the core of its infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and software capabilities aligned with the key principles of situational awareness: perception(data collection), comprehension (data processing), and prediction(analytics). This holistic approach empowers Digantara to monitor all Resident Space Objects(RSOs) in orbit, fostering comprehensive domain awareness. We are seeking a proficient Astrodynamics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building efficient and scalable mathematical algorithms to solve various operational orbital mechanics and Space Domain Awareness challenges. WHY US: * Competitive incentives, galvanising workspace, blazing team, frequent outings—pretty much everything that you have heard about a startup + you get to work on space technology. * Hustle in a well-funded startup that allows you to take charge of your responsibilities and create your own moonshot. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, develop, and test various math-intensive algorithms for SSA applications. * Perform orbit determination and orbit propagation of space objects using tracking data from ground-based and space-based sensors. * Support the design, integration, testing, and operation of the SSA systems and technology chain. * Conduct research and development on emerging technologies such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing for SSA. * Actively participate in writing and publishing technical white papers, journals, proposals, etc. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in astrodynamics, aerospace, mathematics, physics, or a relevant discipline. * Significant aptitude with computational astrodynamics/orbital mechanics, perturbation theories, vector algebra, numerical methods, computer science & data science. PREFERRED QUALITIES: * Demonstrated experience in Python, scientific computing methods, and parallel programming techniques. * Basic understanding of working with Linux-based systems and handling version management using Git. * Familiarity with software packages/tools such as GMAT, STK, FreeFlyer, Orekit, etc. * Basic understanding of probability, statistics, and control theory. * Skilled in creating detailed technical reports, content, manuals, and operational guidelines. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to take direction and work independently. * Interpersonal skills to enable working in a diverse and dynamic team. * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. * Writing and delivering technical documents and briefings. * Verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills. * Travel occasionally as necessary.   JOB LOCATION: HEBBAL, BENGALURU
