Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing project initiatives across multiple IT and business organizations.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience and passion for managing and developing people to their full potential through coaching, mentoring, and servant leadership
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for both a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Ability to think creatively and recognize & encourage creativity in others.
  • 5+ years of experience in web development technologies such as:
  • Vue, Angular, or React
  • JavaScript / NodeJS
  • Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Possess a solid understanding of Agile principles.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Passionate about software development and delivering large and/or complex solutions in an iterative process.
  • In-depth understanding and passion for excellence in the WWT Core Values.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or Management Information Systems; A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
  • Play a key role in driving the strategy of applications supporting wwt.com, working in close alignment with product owners and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the environment that nurtures drive and enthusiasm within a healthy team.
  • Gather and deliver performance feedback for team members, and regularly coach employees towards meeting behavioral and performance goals.
  • Work with our customers and business stakeholders to ensure that our applications are stable, easy to use, and meet business expectations.
  • Work to incorporate business feedback into the team’s strategy.
  • Collaborate with other development teams, product management, and development leadership to align on the problems we want to solve.
  • Coordinate work assignments within the team and ensure new features and issues are being addressed, balancing speed of delivery and team capacity.
  • Delegate and empower the team to make decisions that drive things forward.
  • Building and delivering software solutions alongside the team, providing technical leadership, and promoting best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver informal and formal presentations to the team, department, and business partners.
  • Mentor employees outside the direct team, serve as a role model for other employees
