The ATE (Advanced Test Equipment) Group develops complex multidisciplinary capital equipment used for calibration, performance validation, and high-volume production testing of Innoviz LiDAR systems. These machines integrate software, hardware, optics, and mechanics to ensure product quality and manufacturing scalability. We are looking for a talented ATE System Engineer. In this role you will play a key role in shaping and operating these advanced platforms, working closely with the other R&D teams to develop, integrate, and optimize the next generation of automated test and calibration systems for Innoviz LiDARs. Responsibilities Take end-to-end responsibility for calibration and automated testing of critical LiDAR features, including development, validation, and troubleshooting. Serve as a focal point for other R&D groups in your domain of expertise. Develop, implement, and validate calibration and test scripts using Python. Support the design and development of next-generation ATE systems for high-volume LiDAR production. Requirements B.Sc. in an exact science or engineering discipline (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar) from a leading university; M.Sc. is an advantage. At least 4 years of experience as a system engineer working with multidisciplinary systems (optics, electronics, software, and algorithms). Proficiency in Python and MATLAB. Hands-on experience with system integration and debugging. Experience in computer vision – advantage. Experience in electro-optics and sensors – advantage. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility, with the ability to drive tasks end-to-end. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Fast learner who can quickly gain a deep understanding of complex systems. Team-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The engineer will take end-to-end responsibility for the calibration and automated testing of critical LiDAR features, including development, validation, and troubleshooting. They will also support the design and development of next-generation ATE systems for high-volume LiDAR production.
