Job Details Job Location: Tipton Plant - Tipton, CA Position Type: Union Salary Range: $25.95 - $28.35 Hourly Description Union: This position falls under a Collective Bargaining Agreement | Chapter 517 Location: 531 West Poplar Avenue| Tipton | CA | 93272 Hourly Rate: $25.95 | $28.35 after 90 day probation (Overtime and weekends may be required) We are hiring for a Flex Shift position which will cover all three shifts where needed. Shift: 1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm | Shift Differential $0.40 hour Shift: 3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am | Shift Differential $0.50 hour Job Summary Under the direction of the Aseptic Tank Farm Supervisor or Production Superintendent, operates controls coordinates and administers all shift activities in the bulk storage facility. Primary Responsibilities Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift. Oversees the shift handling and receiving of NFC juice from the processing plant or bulk tankers. Coordinates the blending of juice from various bulk tanks for loading of bulk tankers or for packaging into drums in the processing plant barrel out operation. Operates the Aseptic Tank Farm PLC controls with a desk top computer for operation interface and control of the tank farm pumps, valves, pump speeds, tank pressure, valve positions, nitrogen blanketing system, CIP system, proper preparation and sterilization prior to processing or export product from aseptic tanks, tank level and inventory systems. Responsible for entering the Oracle System, and prepares all necessary accounting inventory control, traffic paperwork and read emails. Verifies brix, acid, and ratio or other juice attributes as necessary to ensure proper operation of all Aseptic Storage Systems. Operators and or direct the loading of bulk tankers of NFC from the Aseptic Tank Farm and concentrate onto tankers from the bulk concentrate tanks. Ensures all necessary maintenance is performed on all Aseptic Tank Farm equipment with appropriate records supporting maintenance activities. Will keep all processes HACCP compliant and assures all supporting process documentation of inspections, tank farm inspections one per each shift and critical control points is kept on file. Will keep a stock of spare parts and keep a record of purchases, receipts and usage of those parts with a running inventory. Operates HTST for pasteurizing lemon, orange and other varieties of NFC products. Operate sterilizer 1 and 2 for sterilizing or pasteurizing lemon, orange or other varieties of NFC products. Operates Ice Gen machines 1 and 2 when required by the customer. And ensure product meets the customer expectation on juice temperature and performance ice fraction % calculation to verify tankers loads before departure. Executes compliance of company established polices. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements Some knowledge of computers is desirable. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must understand sterilization and pasteurization of product techniques. Must understand the use of HMI screen and be able to understand and react to information provided. Three years technical or production experience in the food or related industry. Must be able to perform simple math, including division, common fractions and ratio and percentage. Physical Requirements 25% of time spent in ATF Control Room under ambient temperatures and conditions. 50% of time spent outdoors in ambient temperatures loading tankers which involves climbing stairs, discharging product from aseptic tanks into tankers, also offloading tankers to silos or surges. 25% of time spent inside the ATF room walking lines, checking HMI screens. Must be able to lift to 50lbs. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders multiple times during a shift. Qualifications
