Description The Middle School JV Baseball Head Coach is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the JV baseball program in collaboration with the Athletic Director and the High School Baseball Coach. This role requires a Christ-centered leader who models spiritual maturity, integrity, and excellence in coaching, mentoring, and program development. Requirements Coaching Responsibilities Lead a program that reflects CAK’s core values and the highest standards of conduct. Provide appropriate training, discipline, and coaching to build a highly competitive team. Evaluate individual student-athletes and develop coaching plans to help each reach their full potential. Collaborate with high school and middle school coaches to align program goals and strategies. Develop individual and team skills through structured training and positive reinforcement. Conduct pre-season conditioning and practices. Communication and Supervision Communicate proactively with student-athletes and parents/guardians regarding expectations, camps, practices, and game schedules. Supervise student-athletes before and after practices and games. Oversee all areas of participation, including fields, gyms, locker rooms, buses, and other facilities. Operations and Logistics Issue and maintain equipment and uniforms, ensuring proper care and return. Attend all games—home and away—including postseason tournaments. Prepare facilities for practices, games, and events. May be asked to operate a school vehicle for team travel. Attend all required professional development and coaching meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Certifications and Compliance Holds current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Maintains compliance with all TSSAA rules and regulations. Adheres to all CAK policies and procedures. Spiritual and Professional Qualifications Must be a born-again Christian who supports CAK’s mission and philosophy. Demonstrates spiritual leadership and the ability to disciple student-athletes in God’s truth. Maintains a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude in all situations. Exercises discretion and professionalism in confidential matters involving students and their families The Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) coach must be a spiritually sensitive individual who understands the school's mission and philosophy. The coach must also be a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity and the academic and leadership abilities necessary to teach God’s truth. Skills in effective communication with diverse individuals, the ability to handle confidential information appropriately, and maintaining a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude and integrity in all situations are prerequisites.
