Job Details Job Location: Towson , MD Salary Range: $22500.00 - $27500.00 Salary/year Description The Administrative Assistant provides clerical, organizational, and communication support for the Athletic Director, Assistant Director, and the department. This position ensures the efficient operation of athletic programs, compliance with school and league regulations, and positive communication among coaches, students, parents, officials, and the community. Approximate schedule will be twenty (20) hours per week. This is a 12-month / year-round position. Essential Functions Serve as the primary administrative support for the Athletic Department. Maintain athletic department calendars, schedules, and facility reservations. Coordinate transportation requests and confirm arrangements for athletic events. Assist with preparation of eligibility reports, rosters, and compliance documents. Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense reimbursements for athletic programs. Maintain accurate records of athletic inventories, equipment, and uniforms. Answer phone calls, emails, and parent/community inquiries in a professional manner. Assist with communication of schedule changes, cancellations, and updates to stakeholders. Help coordinate recognition events, award ceremonies, and special projects. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or school administration. Pro-rated annual salary is $22,500 to $27,500 based upon degrees and experience. At least three (3) years administrative experience, preferably in a school or athletic department setting. Customer service / customer relations experience preferred. Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities General knowledge of office management techniques. Excellent organizational skills; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Microsoft TEAMS. Proficiency in SharePoint, OneDrive, other Microsoft 365 products, and CANVA preferred. Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, students, and the general public. Ability to work with others while maintaining confidentiality. Ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural questions.
