EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: ATHLETICS ADMINISTRATOR (3 YEAR CONTRACT SUBJECT TO A PROBATIONARY PERIOD)

OVERVIEW

The Athletics Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to assist with matters relating to the facility, department and varsity teams. The Athletics Administrator will manage gameday operations, student staff and all facility scheduling and rentals. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for athletics and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary degree required in sports management, physical education, recreation management or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience working within athletics or facility management.
  • An understanding of athletics and varsity sport is required.
  • Must have the ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment, both independently and with a group.
  • CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain upon hire.
    The start date for the position is Immediate.
Responsibilities

Office and Facility administration:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Athletics Department
  • Create, manage and maintain schedules for the facility. This includes the gymnasium, dance studio, weight room and cardio room.
  • Create and manage practice and game schedules for all varsity teams.
  • Contact person for all current and prospective facility rental groups. This includes confirming proof of insurance and creating, organizing and distributing all contracts and rental invoices for outside groups.
