We are currently hiring for Two (2) Part Time Athletics & Wellness Engagement Leads, reporting to the Director of Athletics & Wellness the Athletics & Wellness Engagement Lead is a dynamic and creative professional responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events and engagement initiatives to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and connected campus community. This role works collaboratively with departments, student organizations, and external partners to support the institution’s mission and enhance the student experience.
The position requires a strong interest in sport and recreation, and a sound understanding of the local, provincial, and national collegiate sport landscape. Working within the Athletics & Wellness Department, the Lead will take an active role in building, developing, and facilitating all athletic and engagement events on campus—including game days, pep rallies, intramurals and championship celebrations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field (e.g. sport management, kinesiology, physical education, management) is preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related event management experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment is considered an asset
  • Additional volunteer and/or coaching experience would be considered an asset
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Valid class 5 Drivers’ License with the ability to provide a clear current driver’s abstract
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian collegiate sport system, including ACAC, CCAA, and U Sports
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
  • Experience with cash handling and basic financial transactions
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and website content management tools
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a diverse, team-based environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results
