Description:
The Inventory and Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire inventory management system, ensuring quality standards are met across all products, optimizing stock levels, and leading strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, while collaborating with various departments to maintain quality control and cost effectiveness throughout the supply chain.
Develop and execute comprehensive inventory and quality strategies aligned with company goals, including demand forecasting, stock level optimization, and quality control measures.
Set performance metrics and targets for inventory accuracy, quality standards, and cost reductions initiatives.
Lead and manage a team of inventory and quality control professionals.
Monitor and manage inventory levels across all product lines to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Oversee inventory management systems, including automated stock tracking and cycle counting procedures
Investigate and address quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to continuously enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. Identify and implement process improvements within the warehouse and inventory management systems to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Streamline logistics operations, including warehouse layout, picking and packing processes.
Monitor compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to quality and inventory management.
Coordinate the daily flow of managers and other employees within the department.
Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility.
Providing strong leadership and mentoring to warehouse staff.
Coach employees and conduct employee performance reviews.
Assist in development and implementation of warehousing and inventory control strategies.
Develop procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility.
Continuous improvement projects to reduce inventory and quality risks.
Update and refine processes, policies and procedures.
Monitor space layout plan to ensure all space is used efficiently.
Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of reports.
Manage and responsible for ensuring product supply meets production demands.
Requirements:
1) Strong warehouse background.
2) Able to demonstrate a willingness to keep learning and improving.
3) High level of energy and drive to work with the warehouse employees.
4) Excellent people and communication skills to be able to work with differing personalities.
5) Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.
6) Ability to work extended hours/over-time as needed.
7) Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.
8) Ensure proper and full-time use of any Personal Protective Equipment.
9) Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
10) Operates any materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required.
11) Ensure that the work area is left clean and tidy at the end of each shift.
12) Assists in maintaining the sanitation, security and safety of the warehouse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) High school diploma required.
2) 3-5 years of related experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control in a 3PL or Fulfillment setting.
3) Organized thought process with high attention to detail with ability to produce accurate results, effective prioritization to meet scheduled deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4) Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
5) Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
6) Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
7) Professional attitude and the ability to represent the company with integrity.
8) Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
9) Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
10) Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office and communicating effectively via email and phone frequently required
