WAGE RANGE: $15.00-$20.00 OPEN UNTIL FILLED: 1ST CLOSING DATE MAY 15, 2026   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and quality service. 2. Sets up and maintains inventory and invoiced items to facilitate accurate entry into and depletion through the point-of-sale and inventory tracking system. 3. Assists merchandise supervisor by professionally communicating with suppliers/vendors regarding cost negotiation, guaranteed products, check-in/receiving, credits, and completing necessary paperwork. 4. Enters related information into the inventory system; generates variance reports by individual retail location, ensures accuracy, and resolves variance issues. 5. Reconciles and updates invoices to accurately reflect the cost of sales, profit margin, promotions, and changing trends. 6. Assists monitoring and controlling Par levels, and price points, and tracks and monitors promotions. 7. Independently able to generate and create a variety of reports related to merchandise management. 8. Analysis of pricing trends and/or variances. Must demonstrate complete competency in category management. 9. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the inventory database. 10. Enters retail information into the inventory system; generates variance reports and assists with investigation and variance resolution. 11. Performs other merchandise-related duties and tasks as assigned. 12. Participating in physical inventory counts for various departments. 13. Functions will require long periods of computer use, calculator, and 10-key, which include repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers. 14. Perform duties in compliance with company standards and generally accepted accounting practices. Comply with regulatory laws, PP&P, department policy and procedures, codes, etc. 15. Must possess the ability to professionally and effectively work with others. Promotes internal guest service standards by treating employees with courtesy and respect, reflecting a positive attitude. 16. Handles inquiries promptly and efficiently, deferring disputes or conflicts to the supervisor. 17. Performs assigned duties promptly, accurately, efficiently, and professionally. 18. SIGNATORY ABILITY: 1. Receiving deliveries and inventory control. ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS: 1. Back-office inventory system. 2. Stock Room. 3. POS.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One (1) year experience in inventory control and/or maintaining a price book in retail or related field OR one (1) year combined merchandising experience with POS operation and involved competency regarding price book or back-office familiarization. 2. Six (6) months of customer service experience. 3. High School Diploma or GED or 10 years of experience. 4. Computer literate and experienced with Excel, Word, and Outlook. 5. Hands-on experience with point-of-sale systems, margin analysis, price book, and/or inventory systems. 6. Possess excellent organizational skills. 7. Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional friendly and professional interpersonal skills. 8. Stand/sit for long periods at work/computer station and perform the repetitive motion of arms, wrists, and fingers. 9. Need to Bend, lift, and maneuver large bulky items up to 50 lbs. 10. Flexible schedule, working regular shift hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary. 11. Possess a valid driver’s license with no history of motor vehicle-related citation or arrest conviction(s) within the last five (5) years in any state per WRC insurance requirements. 12. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. 13. Must be at least 18 years of age.     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Experience with merchandising, price book, and/or inventory tracking software in a retail convenience store, travel center, or related field.
