JOB SUMMARY:

A Construction Sales Engineer develops long-term business to business relationships with ATS customers. They will also provide consulting support to architects, engineers, contractors and owners for physical security systems. SE’s will estimate security system hardware and installation costs based on project plans, specifications, customer requirements and other contract documents. They will also interface with ATS engineers and technicians to ensure successful project implementation. Additionally, they will provide industry presentations and seminars to educate and influence the consulting, contracting and owner security community. Our customer base includes but is not limited to; data centers, hospital and healthcare facilities, government buildings, school districts, and higher education buildings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering/Business undergraduate degree (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen or MBA
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Physical security systems experience
  • Professional business to business sales experience (preferred)

JOB DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • Sales Engineers earn base salary plus additional compensation in the form of commission and car allowance. Commissions are uncapped
  • This is a full time, exempt position. Typical work days are Monday-Friday
  • Local travel required up to 30% of the time with occasional out-of-state travel
  • This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 50% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder. Small repetitive motions and use of small tools is included.
