UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, NY is seeking a dedicated and safety-minded ATS-Level I/Van Operator to join our team! This full-time position is based out of our Jamestown office, with a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Holidays are required only when they fall on a weekday, and weekends or on-call shifts are not required—though both are available if you’d like to pick up additional hours. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for the safe transport of patients to and from healthcare facilities, ensuring their comfort and security during each ride. You’ll operate corporation wheelchair vans and vehicles with care, maintain appropriate CDL credentials, and uphold driving standards acceptable to our insurance carrier. In this role, there is the opportunity to- Complete DOT logbook per regulations. Check vehicle per DOT standards beginning each shift. Report vehicle problems or defects to supervisor. Complete billing forms and issue receipts for payment as necessary. Operate assigned vehicle safely: driving, parking, backing, and no turning right on red. Respond to and complete assigned calls in a timely fashion. Ensure safety of vehicle occupants with proper restraints. Ensure cleanliness of vehicle, inside and out. Proactively work to improve services and results and takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and implements accordingly. Demonstrate and deliver quality customer service to internal and external customers, always keeping patient/customer satisfaction a priority. Provide patient care and/or generate work results that are thorough, accurate, orderly, and value-added consistent with hospital policies and procedures. Anticipate internal and/or external customer needs and facilitates meeting those needs. Accept responsibility for one's own behavior and actions. Work independently without reminders regarding timeliness and quality of work. Meet commitments, goals, and deadlines and drive work/projects forward; follow up as needed. Willingly seek and/or accept additional responsibility and assignments. Safely "wheel" chair bound patients as appropriate. Required: Must maintain NYS 19A education and testing requirements and random drug and alcohol testing for level of CDL. Ability to render professional driving and customer service. Frequent contact with patients, families, physician office staff, hospital staff, and fellow employees. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Must have at minimum a valid CDL class "C" driver's license with Passenger Endorsement within 30 days of hire.
