REQ13503 Attendant, Public Areas (Open) POSITION SUMMARY: The Attendant, Public Areas is responsible for the effective and efficient cleaning of assigned areas as per established programs. These functions include: 1. Hard floor restoration and maintenance 2. Carpet maintenance 3. Escalator cleaning 4. High dusting using EWPs (elevated work platforms) 5. External cleaning using ride on machinery, in accordance with Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Cleans and maintains of specific areas in accordance with established checklists, programs and standard operating procedures. Operators will be required to follow specialized training programs arranged by Public Area management. 2. Remains competent in operating all machinery required to perform specialized cleaning duties. 3. Experts in the method and procedure to restore clean and maintain specific surfaces such as marble polishing, carpet and Gaming Table layout steam cleaning. 4. Remains proficient in operating Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) and trained in health and safety procedures to perform high access cleaning. 5. Maintains knowledge of cleaning operations and casino and hotel layout to ensure that guest queries can be answered or referred promptly. 6. Adheres to all security and maintenance procedures and practices including reporting any unusual or suspicious incidents or workplace hazards. 7. Communicates with fellow team members and departments to proactively service guests, minimize confusion and ensure cleaning standards are maintained. 8. Maintains all public, common and back of house area ensuring they are clean and free of risks including using appropriate cautionary signage to alert guests and fellow staff of potential risks as required. 9. Adheres to health and safety requirements. 10. Actively participates in health and safety activities to ensure that workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is valued. 11. Remains capable to perform repetitious duties. 12. Remains capable as part of the ambassador team while working in the public area. 13. Adheres to all Company policies and procedures. 14. Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issuers to supervisors. 15. Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS: I. Experience 1 year working experience with minimum 6 month in relevant position II. Education High school diploma or equivalent professional training is preferable III. Skills / Competencies 1. Excellent interpersonal/ presentation skills are preferred 2. Minimum one year experience operating advance cleaning machinery 3. Minimum one year experience in specialized cleaning methods such as marble restoration and maintenance, carpet maintenance and high access cleaning. IV. Other Attributes 1. Patience 2. Ability to follow through 3. Ability to work on flexible shift overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis 4. Ability to work on overtime when needed 5.
