With the generous support of our donors and retail customers, we are changing lives through the power of work.   Position Summary: Responsible and accountable for managing the daily operations of the Attended Donation Centers (ADC) and ensuring the execution of established business practices as mandated by the policies, procedures, and projections of GWH. This role will ensure safety guidelines are followed, that staffing levels are met at each center, and that associates are trained on the ADC production standards.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Manages budget and maintains expenditures following the financial goals of GWH, departmental, and the donation center. * Hire, train, evaluate, motivate, and supervise all personnel to maintain and exceed GWH’s operational standards. * Ensure schedules and payroll are completed on time. * Comply with GWH’s policies and Donor Services standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GWH’s safety and security policies and procedures. * Ensure Donation Specialists are trained and properly: * Greeting and assisting donors/customers. * Loading/unloading of box trucks or any fleet equipment. * Sorting donations to the required donation breakdown production standards. * Adhere to and enforce safety and asset protection procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory. * Prepare and submit staff evaluations as directed by policy. * Ensure immediate and accurate donor counts. * Audit and order supplies as needed. * Assist in resolving any complaints and communicating with the direct supervisor. * Monitor and maintain overall ADC appearance and housekeeping. * Assist in all functions performed by the ADC personnel. * Communicate with Transportation regarding the movement of donations and scheduled pick-ups. * Maintain all company records and reports accurately and in a timely fashion. * Regularly visit each site for policy and procedure compliance per the GWH ADC Area Manager visit cadence SOP. * Attends all meetings and training as GWH requires and conducts monthly safety meetings/training. * Performs other duties as assigned by Management.   Additional Duties: * Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and present a friendly, cooperative attitude. * Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. * Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Loss Prevention & Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles. * Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a professional appearance. * Maintain a high level of confidentiality. * Must perform work safely; maintain good housekeeping standards, and ensure all aisles and pathways to fire exits are clear and free of clutter. * Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.   Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. * A bachelor’s degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the required education at one (1) year of education (with a high school diploma or equivalent). * Management experience is required with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role of 30 or more employees or demonstrated success in an Assistant Store Manager position. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types. * Possesses excellent customer service skills. * Retail sales experience is preferred. * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Maintain electronic communication devices and be able to navigate.   Key Performance Indicators (KPI): 1. Donor # vs. Last Year 2. Equipment Management 3. Production Management 4. Work Integrity: Follows established procedures and processes donations timely with a sense of urgency. 5. Quality of Work: Attitude, sense of urgency, productivity, individual safety performance, etc. 6. Payroll as a Percent (Assigned District vs. goal). 7. Safety – 95% quarterly safety metric score. 8. Attendance: Work schedule as assigned, notify leadership as needed, and no recurring issues. 9. Image: Personal image keeps work areas/locations clean, safe, and organized with no donor creep. 10. Customer Ambassador Program (CAP): Receiving surveys (getting customers to participate) and favorable feedback.   Physical Requirements/Work Environment: * Regular twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and, occasionally, lift/move items up to 100 lbs. (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.) * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. * Moderate indoor noise with periodic exposure to outside temperatures.
