Our client, a leading maritime transit company, is seeking a highly skilled In-House Corporate Attorney with 5–6 years of experience, ideally within the maritime, marine transport, or energy sectors . This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence three days per week , offering a unique opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and contribute to strategic legal initiatives.
Location: Onsite Hybrid – 3 Days in Office (New York, NY)
Duration: 3–4+ Months Contract
Pay: $75+ per hour

Advise executive leadership on legal matters affecting maritime and energy operations.
Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial agreements to mitigate legal risks.
Manage litigation and conduct internal investigations.
Develop and implement compliance policies aligned with industry regulations.
Oversee and coordinate with external counsel for litigation and regulatory matters.
Monitor and interpret maritime and energy regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Provide guidance on corporate governance, ethics, and compliance.

Review contracts and corporate documents for legal and financial integrity.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5-6 years of legal experience specializing in maritime, marine transport, or energy sectors.
• Active bar certification in the state of operation.
• Proven ability to manage litigation and negotiate complex transactions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external parties.
• Comprehensive knowledge of maritime laws, energy regulations, and corporate legal practices.
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and editing complex legal documents with attention to detail.
