ABOUT US
ATV Anchor team is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team offering holistic, evidence based, psychological support for adoptive families across the ATV region.
A new team, Anchor was successful in securing government funding to set up a centre of excellence, a service embedded within Adopt Thames Valley, aiming to offer highly specialised, accessible, integrated support to our families.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an individual who can provide specialised assessment and school-based intervention for young people. Who is confident at supporting school staff to understand the needs of adoptive children. Who can offer training and consultation to embed such knowledge, whilst working strategically across the region to engage partner organisations in understanding and meeting the needs of our children.
Are you the right person to join us for this journey? Our hope being that our success means that we will be able to secure longer term funding.
This is just the beginning. If you are interested in both the opportunity to play a strategic role in the ongoing development of a new service and the chance to work with young people and families who have experienced developmental trauma, then please get in touch to discuss further.
Adopt Thames Valley Regional Adoption Agency launched in December 2017 and is the shared Adoption Service for Bracknell Forest, Oxfordshire, Reading Borough Council (Brighter Futures for Children), The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (Achieving for Children), Swindon Borough Council, West Berkshire Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council.
This post provides the opportunity to be part of a creative, supportive and innovative team which is committed to providing holistic, preventative, multi-disciplinary support to adoptive and special guardianship families and to supporting the systems around them. You will have access to a strong support and supervision network and opportunities for training and development.
One year in, we are looking for a new Educational Psychologist to join our dynamic team, alongside Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Therapeutic social work colleagues.
We believe in the importance of offering high quality, multi-disciplinary therapeutic support to some of our most vulnerable families, families whose needs are often not understood within the context of other agencies. We have built a team, rooted in an understanding of developmental trauma, with a strong relational ethos and a commitment to improving the knowledge and skills of all those working with adoptive families across the region.
We recognise the high level of educational need of the children and young people we work with and are committed to being able to provide specialised Educational Psychologist intervention at both an individual and a strategic level, to meet such need.
