JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Auction Clerk with a strong work ethic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be vital in ensuring smooth operations within our cattle sale. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a sale barn or auction setting is preferred but NOT required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to operate computer systems efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stock management.
  Overall, the Auction Clerk plays an essential role in keeping the cattle auction organized, efficient, and legally compliant.

• Ensure all livestock information (e.g., breed, weight) is accurately documented.
• Track and document the sale prices and any additional charges.
• Maintain detailed records of each animal.
• Assist in the smooth flow of the auction by helping with counting cattle drafts, weighing animals, writing tickets and data entry.
• Communicate with auctioneers regarding the order of sale or any issues.
• Enter sale data into the auction’s management system (ASI).
