Description

BridgeTower Media is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Audience Platform Manager to lead our audience engagement technology ecosystem, with primary responsibility for our email service provider (ESP), customer data platform (CDP), and the integration of these systems with our broader digital product portfolio. This role will drive audience platform product strategy and execution, ensuring seamless data flow and optimized performance across all touchpoints in the customer journey to maximize audience engagement, subscription revenue, advertising opportunities, and event participation.

SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated expertise in utilizing customer data platforms, email systems, web-based and audience engagement technologies to drive business results
  • Strong understanding of product development methodologies, user experience design, and technical implementation processes
  • Experience with data integration, API management, and technology stack optimization to drive business growth
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and revenue-generating product enhancements
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional initiatives tied to revenue goals
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Reliable home internet connection with minimum 10mbps up/50mbps down
  • Experience in advertising, media, publishing, or B2B subscription businesses
  • Knowledge of email deliverability, compliance requirements, and revenue optimization best practices
  • Experience with specific audience engagement platforms such as Act-On, BlueConic, or similar ESP and CDP solutions
Responsibilities

Audience Platform Management

  • Develop product specifications for email templates and governance across the entire organization
  • Account, list, and segment management in ActOn.
  • Creation and management of segments, data connections, lifecycles, dialogs, and dashboards within BlueConic.
  • Execute and scale personalized experiences across email, push notifications, web personalization, and other channels
  • Work with Circulation and Marketing departments to ensure audience platforms effectively support subscriber and advertiser growth objectives
  • Optimize email performance metrics directly tied to revenue generation, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates
  • Ensure compliance with regulations while maximizing deliverability to protect this critical revenue stream
  • Drive innovation in email personalization, testing, and optimization to continuously improve engagement metrics and revenue outcomes

Platform TechnologyIntegration

  • Ensure connected systems and seamless data flow between platforms to create a unified view of customer interactions and revenue opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our technology ecosystem through new tools or improved processes that drive subscription growth and retention

Data AnalyticsProduct Insights

  • Manage and enhance dashboards in CDP, Power BI, and other tools to deliver clear, actionable insights on digital product performance
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and training on audience engagement platforms across the organization
