JOB OVERVIEW The Audio Technician (A2) provides essential deck-side support, focusing on wireless microphone management and the physical setup of audio systems. This role is the primary link between the mixing engineer and the performers on stage. REQUIREMENTS Build, maintain, and deploy wireless microphone rigs for actors. Assist performers with getting into and out of wireless microphones as necessary. Assist with the physical installation of speakers, microphones, and cable runs for all shows. Maintain all deck-side audio equipment, including backstage monitors and comms stations. Assist with pre-show checks of wireless frequencies and assisted listening systems. Keep all sound storage areas and the audio shop clean and organized. Other duties as assigned by Production Management. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of wireless microphone systems and frequency coordination. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when working with actors. Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
