AUDIO VIDEO TECHNICIAN

Location: St. Louis, MO (Primarily local within 100 miles; limited occasional travel to Springdale, AR)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Audio Video Technician will be responsible for installing, programming, and servicing audio, video, control, and lighting systems in residential and commercial settings. This position requires hands-on technical skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to deliver a polished final product to clients. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industry experience and is confident working with systems such as Control4 (C4), RTI, and Lutron lighting, as well as network setup for Wi-Fi and related devices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in audio/video installation, programming, and service.
  • Proficiency with Control4 (C4) and RTI programming.
  • Experience with Lutron lighting control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network setup, including Wi-Fi configuration and optimization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and program audio/video systems, control platforms, and lighting systems (including Control4, RTI, and Lutron).
  • Set up and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks related to A/V systems.
  • Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical schematics.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure installations meet specifications and deadlines.
  • Provide end-user training to ensure customers are confident using their systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including network configurations and system programming.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve service calls efficiently and professionally.
