Description

Position: Audio Visual (AV) Operations Manager
Topaz Event Management, a leading event solutions company in the UAE, is looking for a senior Audio Visual (AV) Operations Manager to lead our technical production teams and deliver world-class event experiences.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Media Production, or Event Technology.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) - mandatory
  • AVIXA CTS / CTS-D / CTS-I Certification (preferred)
  • Rigging & Safety Certifications (ETCP Rigger, OSHA/IOSH/NEBOSH, IPAF/MEWP license)
  • Audio/Lighting/Networking Training (Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD / Vector works for AV layouts (preferred)

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO (ROLE OVERVIEW)

As an AV Operations Manager, you will oversee and lead specialized technical teams while ensuring seamless coordination of equipment and operations. You will manage:

  • LED Screens Team
  • Sound Team
  • Lighting Team
  • Trusses & Rigging Team
  • Electrical Work Team

Beyond on-site execution, you will also manage the day-to-day AV operations and warehouse, ensuring all resources and equipment are event-ready.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Overseeing AV equipment logistics, inventory, and maintenance.
  • Managing warehouse operations with smooth workflow and organization.
  • Coordinating with project managers and event teams for timely equipment setup and delivery.
  • Supervising AV teams, ensuring proper resource allocation, training, and performance.
  • Implementing operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Maintaining quality control standards for all AV systems and setups.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry best practices.
