AUDIO VISUAL (AV) TECHICIAN Job Summary: The audio visual (AV) technician is responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of audio visual and related equipment at the resort. He/She performs the DJ function and plays a key supporting role in the delivery of first-class entertainment to guests. Responsibilities: * Providing technical support across the property and sets up displays, operating equipment, and controls for rehearsals, live shows, conferences, exhibitions, and other special requests * Ensuring all equipment is functional across property and reports any damaged equipment * Assisting and training users with equipment writing training notes and organising follow-up workshops when equipment is upgraded * Carrying out scheduled maintenance checks * Preparing CDs, videos, playlists, and music choices for various outlets, restaurants, and public areas to match theme, mood, atmosphere, and target audience * Carrying out equipment audits as part of facilities development or upgrade plans, sourcing, and recommending purchases, and negotiating prices with equipment suppliers Qualifications: * Certification in audiovisual techniques or related discipline Work Environment: * Indoor and outdoor spaces * May be required to work outside of normal working hours, on weekends, and public holidays Sandals Royal Curaçao (Santa Barbara Estate) This resort is a blend of European charm and Caribbean hospitality, perfect for forward-thinking team members who enjoy working in a multicultural and design-driven space.
