Job Description The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, visual, lighting, and multimedia systems across the resort. From conferences and weddings to entertainment shows and lifestyle activations, the AV Technician ensures all technical elements run smoothly and in line with SO/’s creative and stylish standards. Key Responsibilities Event Operations Set up, operate, and dismantle AV equipment for meetings, events, and entertainment shows. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting during events. Ensure smooth execution of presentations, performances, and guest experiences. Equipment & Maintenance Conduct regular checks, testing, and preventive maintenance of AV systems. Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, and lighting issues quickly. Ensure safe handling, storage, and inventory control of all AV equipment. Collaboration Work closely with the Events, Entertainment, and Recreation teams to support creative event concepts. Assist the AV Supervisor and Manager with technical logistics. Communicate effectively with clients, performers, and colleagues to deliver seamless service. Health, Safety & Compliance Follow safety standards and procedures for installation and operation of AV and stage equipment. Report hazards, equipment faults, or incidents promptly. Qualifications Diploma, certification, or technical training in Audio Visual Technology or related field. 1–2 years of hands-on AV experience, preferably in hotels, resorts, or event venues. Solid knowledge of sound systems, video projection, lighting, and multimedia equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes. Team player with excellent communication skills. Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage). Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information What awaits you...
