OVERVIEW:

The AV Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the AV technology. Their responsibilities cover Internal and external meeting rooms and is across all the business requirements for AV technology. They assist users with technical issues related to hardware and software, ensuring proper configuration and security settings. Additionally, the AV specialist handles software deployment and updates, ensuring that applications are updated and meet security requirements. They should create, manage and maintain all AV documentation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • AV System Installation and Configuration: Skilled in installing and configuring audiovisual systems for various environments, including meeting rooms, conference centers, and public spaces.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues with AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems remotely or onsite.
  • Networking for AV Systems: Understanding of network requirements for AV systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network-connected AV devices.
  • Software for AV Management: Experienced with AV management software and tools for scheduling, controlling, and monitoring AV equipment.
  • Vendor Coordination: Experience coordinating with vendors for regular maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs of AV equipment.
  • Documentation: Expertise in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for AV system setups, configurations, processes, and user instructions. They should also manage and maintain the AV asset register.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • ITIL – Experience using an ITSM tooling such as ServiceNow and be familiar with ITIL Framework.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional ability to address and resolve user issues with AV systems, ensuring a high level of user satisfaction.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical guidance and information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of quickly addressing and rectifying disruptions in AV services.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with IT and event teams to manage and support AV requirements for a variety of scenarios.

    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
