Position Overview: Abacus Solutions Group is seeking a skilled AV Hardware Specialist to support the technical and administrative management of audio visual systems at the FLETC Artesia facility. The selected candidate will provide Tier I and Tier II support, maintain AV and computer lab equipment, and ensure reliable AV services in classrooms and labs. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site Tier I and Tier II AV support for Government-furnished AV equipment. Perform testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on AV devices including projectors, VCRs, switchers, CCTV (non-security), microphones, and displays. Diagnose and resolve AV hardware malfunctions; replace lamps, cords, batteries, and accessories as required. Maintain inventory control by labeling equipment with FLETC barcodes and logging serial numbers. Ensure daily classroom readiness by staging AV equipment per training schedules. Support classroom printers and ensure they are supplied with toner and paper. Assist users with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) setup and operations. Maintain the student computer lab (190 workstations, 8 network printers) during training days (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. MT). Provide basic software and hardware assistance to students in the lab. Assist with day-to day IT support functions on service desk. Maintain common area copiers, replacing toner and paper as needed. Perform end-of-day shutdowns and troubleshooting. Submit daily reports of lab activity, anomalies, and equipment issues to the COR. Qualifications: Experience with AV hardware, troubleshooting, and basic repairs. Familiarity with computer lab environments, including workstations and network printers. Working knowledge of common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to follow technical manuals and government procedures. Previous government contract or law enforcement training center experience is a plus.
