Position Summary This position is on-site in Bethesda, MD. National Capitol Contracting is seeking an energetic and service-oriented Audio Visual Installer to join a team of professionals at the NIH, the nation’s premier scientific and medical research centers. Your day to day will include systems and space configuration for events and conferences, operating presentation and collaboration technology, coordinating with NIH customers, and maintaining systems to ensure 100% operational readiness. This role will grow with the company and offers professional development opportunities for technical certifications and conference management. The successful candidate will join a close-knit, high functioning team that supports a specific conference center. This core team will have access to support, education, and leadership from the wider NCC team at NIH as well as our corporate offices. NCC will, over the next five years, raise the bar on how the National Institutes conducts events, broadcasts important information, and shares research with a global community. Key Areas of Responsibility * Support audio visual components of events, meetings and conferences. * Service and install audio visual systems, mounting/replacing equipment, cabling, testing and terminating cables. * Analyze and troubleshoot AV technical issues that arise, particularly with classroom systems. * Testing and evaluating equipment, referencing manuals and other resources to determine faults. * Train end-users/customers on use of AV systems and equipment. * Maintain accurate inventory records. Minimum Requirements * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance (must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check). * 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role supporting and troubleshooting AV systems/components in a conference/event space. * Knowledge of AV control systems such as Creston, AMX and Extron. * Working knowledge of networking AV equipment. * Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Customer service skills. * Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications * CTS and other AV related certifications desirable, but not required. Special Position Requirements Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM, with flexibility to meet customer's needs.
