SHIK Systems is seeking an experienced AV Integration Technician to join our team. We are looking for a professional skilled in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting commercial audiovisual systems, proficient with AV equipment and control platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, and Shure. The ideal candidate is capable of reading technical drawings and system schematics, delivering high-quality and timely installations, and thriving in fast-paced environments including corporate offices, educational institutions, medical facilities, and government organizations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & TOOLS:

Control systems: Crestron, Extron, AMX
Audio systems: Biamp Tesira, QSC Q-SYS, Shure MXA/Microflex
Video systems: HDMI distribution, switchers, projectors, conferencing cameras
Networking basics: IP addressing, AV over IP (e.g., Dante, NVX)
Tools: Hand/power tools, cable testers, tone generators, multimeters, software utilities
Software familiarity: Crestron Toolbox, Extron Global Configurator, Tesira software, Q-SYS Designer

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 1 year of experience in AV installation or system integration
Ability to read and understand AV design drawings and technical documents
Proficient in using tools and performing physical installation work
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are required
Russian language proficiency is a plus
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders and in confined spaces
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred certifications: CTS, OSHA 10/30, or manufacturer training (Crestron, Biamp, Extron)

Install, integrate, and test AV systems including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, video walls, conferencing systems, DSPs, and control panels
Read and interpret AV system schematics, wiring diagrams, rack layouts, and floor plans
Pull, terminate, label, and dress a variety of cable types (CAT6, HDMI, audio, control, coax, fiber, etc.)
Install and configure AV racks, wall plates, ceiling mounts, and structured cabling systems
Perform basic configuration and testing of AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron)
Conduct system testing, signal flow checks, and assist in commissioning systems
Troubleshoot hardware and signal path issues during and post-installation
Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
Document all installation activities accurately and maintain records of changes or issues
Maintain job site cleanliness and follow safety procedures in accordance with OSHA standards
Travel to job sites locally or out-of-state as required
