Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

Due to continued expansion to support our customers, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Design Engineer to join the EOS Team. You will be a technical consultant to the sales force generating Project Scope of Works, block flow diagrams and equipment lists to enable generation of customer proposals. You will also be leveraged by the post sales team for project engineering and or on-going project consultation for our clients
You will provide a technical review of Audio-Visual Projects including but not limited to end-user technical training and support to the implementation teams. You must have a comprehensive understanding and experience of the audio-visual industry, AV system design principles, IP Networks, Implementation and Deployment methodologies for both small- and large-scale projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technically support Project Managers and Implementation Teams, including assistance with hands on and remote commissioning where required.
  • Produce and or assist with technical training for internal and external end-users.
  • Amend and adapt Audio Visual system design including CAD schematics and project requirements
  • Keep current with the technical aspects of the systems being installed through manufacturer training.
  • Creation of system Scope Of Work and Bill of Materials for quotes to clients, this will include allocation of professional service hours.
  • Review and approval of technical documents (Schematics, rack drawings, layout drawings and detailed technical info for IP systems) for handover to Project Management for deployment.
  • Review and technical lead on project bids for client base.
  • Provide status and feedback of the technical aspects of the projects assigned to the Project Manager, Engineering Department, and the Account Manager in the form of verbal and documented post-mortems to modify and improve internal and external processes and designs.
