OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cabling, electrical systems, and low voltage applications, along with excellent mechanical knowledge. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in both team environments and independently.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of cabling techniques, electrical systems, and low voltage applications.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Proficiency in software troubleshooting for various AV technologies.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics related to audio visual systems.
  • Understanding of computer hardware components as they relate to AV setups.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to telecommunicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as required by project needs.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required for field service responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
  • Perform cabling tasks for audio, video, and data connections to ensure optimal performance of AV systems.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to AV equipment and provide timely solutions.
  • Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and repair of AV systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on all AV equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Provide field service support for clients, addressing any technical issues that arise during events or installations.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure seamless integration of AV technology in various projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests.
