POSITION SUMMARY:

An Audio-Visual Technician I is responsible for installing audio-visual equipment. This includes tasks such as terminating cables, mounting displays, hanging speakers, and assisting in performing technical service calls. Physical requirements include lifting heavy equipment and working in various locations and environments, while other duties involve maintaining clean and functioning workspaces and vehicles.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ Years Related Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Lift 80lbs minimum, sit, squat, stand, bend, reach, crawl, to perform installations.
  • Carry tools & equipment up and down several flights of stairs.
  • Work and stand for several hours consecutively without breaks.
  • Work indoors and outdoors yearround.
  • Work on ladders, lifts, and catwalks for extended periods of time.
  • Possess good eyesight and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform audio visual product installations as directed including, but not limited to: o Mounting Speakers, Displays, and other equipment
  • Mounting peripheral accessories and equipment oPulling wires and cables
  • Terminating wires and cables
  • Perform installations according to safety guidelines and manufacturer’s instructions and specifications.
  • Assist with technical service calls to diagnose and restore audio visual system functionality.
  • Use testing equipment such as a Cable Tester, Network Cable Tester, and voltmeters to test and diagnose cables and equipment.
  • Help maintain Service & Installation Department vehicles, report needed maintenance to Manager.
  • Help load vehicles for installations with product, hardware, wire, and equipment.
  • Break down boxes and dispose of trash when on job sites and in the warehouse as directed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe workplace by sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning up tools and products on job sites and in warehouse as directed.
  • Assist in restocking vehicles with inventory, hardware, and supplies as directed.
  • Keep track of personal and company tools, equipment, and devices assigned to you and Service & Installation Department.
  • Assist in reporting necessary updates on installations and service calls using Field Management Software.
  • Track all time in field management software and payroll software.
  • Travel and work outoftown, overnight, for several consecutive days.
