Due to continuing growth, Vision Events (UK) Ltd are expanding the Edinburgh Technical Team! We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audio-Visual Technician.
With over 40 years of excellence in producing live and virtual events VisionEvents has evolved into one of the UK’s leading event production agencies. You will join a diverse Team with a creative and innovative approach to projects, delivering high quality events and meetings to venues throughout Edinburgh and the UK.
We are keen to hear from candidates with working experience of live corporate events and technical knowledge of multimedia and audio-visual systems.

Main day-to-day duties will include,

  • Prepping, scanning, testing and loading equipment into vehicles
  • Transporting, rigging/de-rigging and operating audio-visual equipment
  • Onsite client handling
  • Give technical advice and support to colleagues and clients
  • Assist with inspecting and cleaning stock
  • Assist with warehouse duties

The ideal candidate will have,

  • a full UK driving licence (essential)
  • good working knowledge of audio-visual systems
  • be able to demonstrate a confident and professional client-facing approach.
  • work well as part of a team with a can-do attitude
  • have a flexible and adaptable approach to working hours.
  • be able to work in a relatively physically demanding role, with daily handling of heavy flight cases and equipment.
  • be able to carry out basic equipment maintenance.
  • live within a reasonable commuting distance to Loanhead

Hours will be based on a 45-hour week (including 1 hour paid break), working 5 days out of 7. Due to the nature of our business and according to the workload additional working hours may be necessary. Working hours will be varied and will include unsocial hours and weekends.
Salary – From £29,350 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits
