Audiologist Plainfield IL (10 miles S of Aurora) Urgently Hiring We are looking for a dedicated Audiologist to join our multidisciplinary team full time in Plainfield, IL. In this position the Audiologist will be diagnosing, managing, and treating hearing and balance disorders in patients of all ages. This involves administering hearing tests, interpreting results, developing treatment plans, and fitting patients with devices like hearing aids and cochlear implants. Audiologists within our group also provide counseling, manage hearing loss prevention programs, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals within our practice for comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities: Patient diagnosis and treatment Conduct hearing exams to identify and diagnose hearing loss, balance disorders, and related issues Analyze and interpret test results to determine the type and severity of hearing loss. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Device management: fit, dispense, and program hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other assistive listening devices. Provide training and counseling on how to use these devices effectively. Perform follow-up evaluations to ensure devices are working correctly. Patient and family support: Counsel patients and their families on managing hearing loss and communication strategies. Address the psychological effects of hearing damage. Prevention and education: Develop and implement hearing conservation and hearing loss prevention programs. Educate the public and specific populations about hearing health. Work with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, speech-language pathologists, and teachers to advance the understanding of hearing and balance disorders.
