WI-SSM Health Dean Medical Group Madison North High Point Worker Type: Regular Job Summary: Provides office support for the Audiology department in addition to performing audiometric screenings. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Monitors and maintains daily and future schedules, including the supply schedule, allocate schedule and daily reconciliation of provider schedules. Coordinates buying, receiving, stocking and pricing of hearing aid products. Orders and maintains adequate inventory. Assists patients with understanding insurance benefits, discounts and payment options. Develops quotes for services and equipment. Creates contracts for orders. Verifies insurance and completes prior authorizations for hearing aid purchases. Performs industrial audiometric screenings (after certification). Performs minor hearing aid repairs and cleaning as needed. Maintains treatment rooms, stocks supplies, cleans and sterilizes instruments on a regular basis. Assists the Audiologist with testing of children through use of visual reinforcement audiometry and play audiometry and distraction during immittance testing. Rooms patients, prepares them for various types of testing. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
