Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks Audiovisual Technician s for our team based in H erndon, VA to provide AV systems installation and configuration services to a variety of government customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) :
Willingness and ability to acquire a Counterintelligence Polygraph ( CIP ) post start.
1+ years of related work experience for level 2.
3+ years of related work experience for level 3.
5+ years of related work experience for level 4.
Must be able to travel to various job sites as needed and sometimes drive company vehicle. Current, valid driver’s license required.
Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs up to eight hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
Ability to climb ladders at heights up to 15 feet and stairs on a regular basis.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) :
3+ years of AV experience specifically in system install ation and config uration.
Experience working with QSC , Samsung , Crestron , Extron , and Thinklogical .
AVIXA certification.
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year’s related work experience, etc.)
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience, 9 years’ related work experience, etc.)
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.)
SUMMARY PAY RANGE:
Level 2: 69,700 – 94,300
Level 3: 87,550 – 118,450
Level 4: 108,800 – 147,200

Shift
This position is for 1st shift
Perform onsite AV systems installation, including mounting and anchoring equipment, pulling and terminating fiber and copper cabling, constructing racks, and configuring AV hardware.
Support installation of large format video walls and other displays.
Interpret engineering drawings to execute AV systems integration in accordance with Boeing and customer specifications.
Participate in installation planning by providing assessments on manpower, equipment staging, and tool and resource requirements.
Support system test readiness reviews and all testing events. Provide troubleshooting services.
Work closely with installation and engineering teams to ensure equipment is installed in accordance with industry, Boeing, and customer standards.
Provide onsite coordination with and supervision of subcontractors and vendors during installation projects as required.
Ensure high standards of safety and quality during all installation projects.
Attend daily team meetings with Boeing and technician staff.
Maintain professional demeanor while performing installation services at sensitive government facilities.
