It is a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited and has its registered office in Kolkata, India The Delivery Centre will provide a professional with an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will have the ability to develop process and quality-based skills. Roles and Responsibilities As an Associate, you will play a key role in designing and developing innovative audit solutions. Build, standardise, and automate data pipelines to support audit analytics. You would develop audit solutions by implementing innovative technologies, such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power BI and Databricks Build ETL/ELT processes that support data-enabled audits at scale. Gain a strong understanding of data engineering and analytics and their role in modern audits. You’ll get to work on technical assignments enabling you to develop skills in building and automating data pipelines. As well as business and soft skills around the topic of data and analytics within audits which our clients are demanding today. Day to day responsibilities will include: Perform data extraction and cleansing to ensure accuracy and reliability. Build, standardise, and automate data pipelines to support analytics teams in delivering data-enabled audits. Enhance and maintain strong relationships with engagement teams and clients. The role provides an opportunity for the individual to interact with Data Acquisition teams globally and share best practices. Minimum Degree(s): B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME (preferably computer science), Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, with minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Candidates with “Big 4” or equivalent experience would be preferred. Essential Skills: Proven market credentials in data & analytics, with experience working with large organisations. Strong knowledge and insight into data management, data cleansing, and data analytics. Strong experience in SQL, Python, Alteryx, Databricks/PySpark. Knowledge of data management, cleansing, and transformation processes. Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365), particularly back‑end tables. Experience with financial/general ledger data models. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Solid interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex engagements. Desirable Skills: Experience in data engineering within external audit processes. Knowledge of managed services or delivery centres. Experience working in financial accounting, regulatory compliance, or internal audit. Knowledge of major ERP table structures (SAP, Oracle, D365). Experience consuming REST APIs (e.g., Workday, D365, SAP, Oracle) for data extraction using Python, Azure Data Factory REST connectors, Databricks, or Alteryx HTTP tools. Understanding of API authentication (OAuth, bearer tokens, headers) for securely accessing ERP/HCM REST endpoints. Understanding of Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and cloud data workflows. Technical Skills: Data transformation and modelling (e.g. Databricks PySpark) Data storage and querying (e.g. SQL, Alteryx, Python) Agile methods and version control within Azure DevOps Understanding of common data quality issues within an audit context and how to resolve them Experience with financial / general ledger data, including various data models in major ERPs. Knowledge of Databricks, particularly data engineering and analytics modules. Knowledge of Azure tools, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
