We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Assistant to join our growing Audit & Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate or an individual with some initial audit experience to kickstart their career in a reputable public accounting firm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ISCA Associate).
  • Prior internship or 0-1 year of relevant experience in an audit firm is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (SFRS), and auditing standards (SSAs).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for detail.
  • Meticulous, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements under the supervision of Audit Seniors and Managers.
  • Perform audit procedures such as vouching, casting, and reviewing financial documents and records.
  • Prepare audit working papers and documentation in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSAs) and internal audit methodologies.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of financial information to identify potential issues or unusual trends.
  • Liaise effectively with clients to obtain necessary audit information and clarify queries.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters/issues to senior team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., tax, corporate secretarial) to ensure integrated client solutions.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of audit findings and procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support the audit team.
