CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Have worked in an accountancy practice with several years of experience on audit assignments including planning and finalisation
• ACA or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified working towards full qualification
• Good IT skills, mainly excel and word, with some experience with popular accounting software products (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Professionalism, dependability and integrity combined with a co-operative attitude and a desire to fit into a hardworking but friendly team

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing financial statements under FRS105, FRS102, and FRS102 section 1a
• Supporting audits from planning to completion using a cutting-edge electronic audit file system
• Supervising and developing junior team members
• Undertaking a mix of on-site audits and office-based work (mostly York-based)
• Building strong relationships with a wide range of clients and stakeholders
• Drafting Corporation Tax computations
• Pitching in with ad hoc tasks and exciting new challenges as they arise
