ACCOUNTS & AUDIT SENIOR ASSOCIATE - EDINBURGH

A well-established firm of accountants in Edinburgh are seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join their growing audit team.
The Role:
As a Senior Associate, you’ll become a key member of the team, delivering audit, advisory, and accounting services to a wide range of clients, from landed estates and charities to owner-managed businesses and FCA-regulated entities.

You will:

  • Lead and manage the audit and accounting process from planning through to completion.
  • Liaise directly with senior members of client finance teams, building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Take ownership of your work, ensuring high-quality delivery in all aspects of audit engagements.
  • Work closely with managers and partners, contributing to team strategy and development.
  • Get involved in internal projects and working groups, including firmwide initiatives and client advisory work.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong audit experience, including planning and completion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Client-focused with a keen sense of commerciality.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing, training, and mentoring staff on projects, and assessing performance.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
  • Proactive nature and a strong team player
