An excellent progression opportunity for a qualified audit senior or assistant manager looking to progress in management to join our clients’ growing audit team covering Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Support with progression and new challenges will be given, and the growing business provides many opportunities for an expanding role.
The Audit Senior will provide efficient support and assistance to directors and managers, ensuring that deadlines are met, technical work is carried out in accordance with the firm’s procedures and the highest standard of client care is maintained. The role takes responsibility for the completion of audit and accounting assignments for our client base, in accordance with the firm’s technical standards and procedures.

EXPERIENCE

• ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Expereince of planning and leading external audits in an Accountancy Practice
• Knowledge of FRS 102 and ideally Charities SORP
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (inc. Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Experience of Audit software (ideally MyWorkpapers)

• Leading audit fieldwork teams
• Planning and budgeting of assignments prior to commencement
• Completion of audit work on key risk areas
• Liaising with clients to resolve any queries (escalating more complex issues to a manager)
• Reviewing work undertaken by trainees
• Working to and meeting internal and external deadlines
• Preparing statutory financial statements (UK GAAP) and drafting tax computations
• Assisting with billing and oversight of recoveries
• Work to identify marketing opportunities both for additional services with existing clients and introducing new clients to the firm and building your own external networks.
